Consultations: Public Comments on the Proposed Guidance to TCPS 2 (2018)

In June 2021, the Panel on Research Ethics (PRE) released proposed guidance related to the interpretation and implementation of TCPS 2 (2018) for public comment. 69 sets of comments were received – 64 of which have been posted below, as some contributors requested that their comments remain confidential. Comments are posted in the language in which they were received.
PRE appreciates the thoughtful comments submitted by Canada's research community. PRE and the Secretariat on Responsible Conduct of Research will consider this valuable feedback in their deliberations and submit final revisions to the three federal research agencies (CIHR, NSERC and SSHRC).
